45. One of the main things i enjoyed doing on aol was chatting to all my friends that i have made over the last four year in my group, and now that a new company has taken over aol...we find that things are deteriating, suddenly we don't have a group and wasn't even asked what we thought of the changes, it doesn't say a lot about the new company and how they run it....things are sure to go down hill from here, if we don't get a say in things that we have been paying for, i really can't believe it. I for one will be looking elsewhere if things don't improve and the groups are not reinstated.

46. I along with all the above members I would like to say how unhappy I am that our groups are being removed without consulting the Loyal and long suffering AOL. Members. over the last couple of years this ISP has appeared to go from bad to worse. Many of us have become friends through our groups. and now with no consultation you are going to rob of these friendships. I do not think you will keep your members for much longer. then it will hurt your pockets.

49. As is you option... You don't like what your customers have to say so you shut down your site. Kinda' like sticking your fingers in your ears and humming. So it has finally dawned upon you weiners that you have a pointless job and are not really useful to society afterall. Are you all now looking for 'real' jobs? Too bad Starbucks insn't hiring at the moment. LOL!!!

50. I agree with everyone on the groups change. We had most all of our family talking for years and giving updates on thier families from all over the world!
I also did some BETA work, BUT in the "changing" world it's nice to go to AOL after one year and have all your Address's and Favorites intact.

51. AOL has made some bad mistakes with the group situation. For years I paid for 2 accounts with aol, and then the system worked. Then someone in your corporate setup got the bright idea that you didn't need our fees anymore. Well I don't think your idea worked too well. So you moved the groups to AIM, and then that was abolished, saying that they might come back again sometime. Well I guess that never will happen. It looks like aol is going down the tubes, let us know when your doors are finally closing?

53. I agree with all the complaints posted. All the great "groups" stuff is gone and I'm still paying $29.95 a month as I have for years and years while what's left of AOL's offerings are given to new sign-ups for free. As soon as I get my new arrangements made elsewhere, AOL and I are through and good riddance.

54. I recently also became unhappy with AOLs overall service. Version 9.1 was a mess and broke things that used to work.
They won't see my $9.99 a month any longer.

55. Is there something wrong with the AOL Member Directory Search..yet AGAIN? My screen name and profile do not come up in the search. I had this problem before as well. The Member Directory seems to alway have some problem now and to not function properly. I do have a screen name and profile. I believe it should come up in a search. How are others supposed to find me or search for me? Also I believe that since members pay for these services that we should receive them. Agree? I think that is fair. It has all become rather out of control now.
So can someone please tell me if the AOL Member Directory Search is down and having problems AGAIN or what? I would like my screen name and profile to show up in it when searched for. As well as for it to continue to do so. Thank you for any time and attention to this matter that anyone can give it.

56. the new aim is horrible. first of all, the group couldn't find the chat room. no one could post. it's awful. thinking of changing the chat to Yahoo where everything works. I doubt aol ever reads these remarks, but they are going downhill. I have also been a member for many, many years
