64. Joe---this is a first for me! I'm writing this from tne beta of AOLDesktop because on 9.1 this morning things are royally messed up! Now last night around 8:00pm EST, things were fine. However, this morning NONE of the message boards are coming up and the 'redesign' of People Connection is nowhere to be found. However, here on the Beta of AOL Desktop, I am able to get the Beta Message Boards up and to read them. I'm just hoping that you or Nancy or someone will get thing straightened out. I realize this is a system problem, but after the negative comments on this topic and the AIM profiles, I hope this doesn't get buried in the ranta and raves!

66. who is the dumb ass that came up these changes..didnt your daddy ever tell you'if it aint broke, don't 'fix' it?....i've tried all the instructions for the chat rooms and got nothing..which seems to be what the 'people connection is all about'..........celebrity gossip? give me a break!//when you get out of the 8th grade, you might possibly be allowed to assoiciate with the adults.

67. Welp! I can now write on the Beta Message Boards using 9.1. I dunno for sure, but this isn't the first time that I've used an external browser to get the internal one to work. Anyhooooo---I did want to say that I like the new design. I was checking some of it out last night---and really had no problem finding things.
Now---having said that, I think that the way these changes have been made is largely at fault here for the extreme negativity. They are suddenly sprung on people with no forewarning or summary or tour of what will be. And, since people basically are against change, they immediately hate it. AND, when changes cause what they've been using forever to suddenly not work, that just increases the anger and frustration. Since I've been a beta tester for some 15 years, I'm used to problems and such, so I don't immediately panic. So, Franki says---promote changes before they come about with videos and such! Don't hit people broadside with no warnings!

71. A little warning would have been nice to prepare us for the total shock. You've created a lot of unnecessary steps to get to the chat rooms. If the idea was to make things easier, you have failed miserably. I don't know about the other sites yet. Will have to see. You are focusing on the wrong things. You are tooting your horns about more celebrity news & gossip. If we wanted that, we could get that daily from our AOL Home Page. WHO CARES???? Most of us on People Connection are only interested in the chat rooms and the people/profiles. Maybe that's what you need to do...separate all the garbage that a few want to see into a separate site. Make THEM go look for it. Keep it simple, folks. Life is complicated enough. We come on her to relax & have fun! It's not fun anymore. Thank you for your time.

72. It's a consensus. Everybody hates it......aol at it's best.
Not.
It's still sad watching what used to be a great company and service self destruct.
Said my piece, I'll let them all get back to Celebrity gossip.
It's an aol priority!

73. They changed up the blog site, and now I can't access any of my private blogs. This blows. It doesn't even have to do with a layout change, it has to do with a feature bug. My blogs better still be there, and hopefully they're still trying to fix it, because right now, I'm pissed. I can't even email help to explain my problem.

74. I don't like this either. I can't find the chat rooms I like. I live by the maxim if its not broke don't fix it.

76. Joseph and others,
Brian Salchert here: I have been doing more
investigating, and have found two internal ways
now to get to my blog. Figured out how to get
to my profile, and I like what I found there.
And although I do not use chat rooms,
I did find out how to get in, and that
a topic needs to be chosen. Have created an
entry about these. Email me for a link to
my entry. Thank you. Haven't tried to access
Photos yet.

77. Where are the chat rooms? Your new format is confusing
and very frustrating to use. You will lose members because of this change.

78. This new page is HORRIBLE. I've been with aol for longer then some people have been alive, I've suffered thru all the bugs, and tweaks and adjustments, but this is UNFORGIVABLE.

79. anyone know of another service with good chat rooms since aol sucks
Posted at 4:20PM on Nov 28th 2007 by jerry
80. This stinks! It is impossible to get the old chat rooms easily. Precedence has been given to blogs. Get real-the whole world is not interested in every thought that crosses someone's mind. The celebrity world is not all that interesting. I want to be able to chat with friends.
